2020 Jeep Gladiator Transformation

This brand new 2020 Jeep Gladiator came straight to us from the dealership for a comprehensive upgrade package. No corner of this truck was left untouched and the end result is truly impressive.

The first part of this project was removing the factory suspension and upgrading it with an Evo Mfg Stage 3 6.5″ Lift Kit with Fox Shocks in all four corners. This extensive suspension upgrade package fully replaces the factory springs, shocks, and adjustable arms and joints all around with much stronger and performance oriented components to ensure confidence off road and a smooth ride while cruising, despite the dramatic change in ride height. To accommodate the suspension lift we filled those huge wheel arches with XD Wheels 20 x 12’s wrapped in 40″ Nitto Grappler tires.

In making these dramatic changes to the wheel/tire setup and suspension, it is important to address the driveline also. Otherwise a stock Jeep like this would have a lot of trouble driving around comfortably with such an aggressive tire and lift. We countered this effect with a gear package from Yukon Gear & Axle. We changed the final drive ratio to 5.13 which will allow this truck to accelerate like a factory Gladiator while still maintaining comfortable cruising rpm on the highway.

Once these mechanical changes were complete, we moved on to some very high quality cosmetic upgrades and changes. The front bumper was replaced with a Fab Fours Inc. product that also facilitated the installation of Rigid Industries fog lights and light bar. Next a DV8 Offroad windshield mount was installed along with a massive 50″ Rigid Industries lightbar sitting just above the roofline. All of the lights are wired into factory auxiliary switches inside the cab. N-Fab Inc. side steps were also fitted to help in hoisting oneself up into this monster of a Jeep and protecting the rockers from any massive boulders that might get in the way.

The last component to this project was a custom one-off hood decal designed in house here at Bosworth Customs. We styled the letters to imitate the factory Gladiator font truly making this a one of a kind Jeep. The owner is sure to catch attention anywhere he goes whether on pavement or not. He will definitely have the performance capability to back up the aggressive style when he finds himself off road in this beast.
